eSUN TPE-83A: flexible filament with 83A Shore hardness, soft yet supportive, high elasticity and skin-friendly texture. Ideal for wearables, anatomical models, and shock absorption.
eSUN TPE-83A Filament — Superior Flexibility & Skin-Friendly Texture
eSUN TPE-83A is a high-performance thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) 3D printing material with a Shore hardness of 83A. Characterized by being "soft yet supportive, tough yet flexible," it serves as an ideal choice for both everyday and industrial applications. Compared to TPU materials, TPE is softer, with higher elasticity and better flexibility. It features a smooth, skin-friendly texture and low surface friction, making it particularly suitable for applications requiring shock absorption, cushioning, and a comfortable experience. Additionally, the newly launched salmon color closely resembles human skin tones, making it ideal for 3D printing human tissue and organ models.
Key Features:
- Skin-Friendly Texture: Crafted with a premium, low-friction surface that feels incredibly gentle against the skin—ideal for everyday wearables, ergonomic accessories, and anatomical models
- Soft & Bouncy: Marshmallow-like softness combined with outstanding rebound resilience, ensuring highly elastic 3D prints with ultimate comfort and reliable impact protection
- Excellent Flexibility: Strikes the perfect balance between toughness and flex—"soft yet supportive"—withstanding repeated bending and stretching without breaking or degrading over time
Specifications:
- Brand: eSUN
- Product: TPE-83A
- Diameter: 1.75mm
- Net Weight: 1KG/Spool
- Shore Hardness: 83A
Physical Performance: Density 1.14 g/cm³.
Mechanical Properties: Tensile Strength 29 MPa (XY) / 7.53 MPa (Z), Elongation at Break >400% (XY) / 129.7% (Z).
Recommended Printing Parameters: Extruder 220–250°C, Bed 45–60°C, Fan Speed 100%, Printing Speed <50 mm/s, Heated Bed required. Dry at 55°C for >4h, direct-drive extruder recommended, slow printing.
Notes:
- This filament is softer than 95A and deforms more easily under extrusion pressure; set a slower printing speed
- Flexible materials have poorer cooling performance, reducing overhang and bridge effectiveness; adding supports is highly recommended
- Direct-drive printers are recommended for best results
- The filament is highly hygroscopic; if left unused for an extended period, dry at 60°C for more than 8 hours before printing
